Tanya Bright is the founder of The Bright Centre, created to help neurodivergent individuals build lives, routines and support systems that truly work for their brains.
Growing up in Bournemouth, Tanya often felt different from the world around her. She noticed early on that many systems seemed to reward one particular way of thinking, working and behaving, while those who questioned, processed or moved differently were often misunderstood. What once felt like being “too much” or “too different” later became something more meaningful: an understanding that her ADHD brain was wired to see patterns, challenge the status quo and look for better ways forward.
Her interest in psychology deepened as neurodivergence became more personal, with family members receiving diagnoses and new questions emerging around identity, behaviour and support. This led Tanya to study psychology at undergraduate level, before completing an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King’s College London.
Alongside her academic background, Tanya brings a holistic understanding of wellbeing, having trained in acupuncture and body therapy. She is also the author of Recipe for a Brighter Life.
After working with NHS trusts, corporate teams, schools, housing associations and leadership groups, Tanya saw the same pattern again and again: awareness of neurodiversity was growing, but meaningful action was often missing. Capable people were still burning out, doubting themselves or leaving environments that had failed to support them.
The Bright Centre was created to offer something different. Tanya helps people understand what is happening in their day-to-day lives, identify the causes of burnout and build practical, realistic strategies around their brain, energy, environment and personal circumstances.
She believes every neurodivergent person has something bright within them. The work is not about forcing yourself into systems that were never designed for you, but learning how to channel your strengths in a way that helps you live, work and thrive with greater freedom.
